Why visit Deià?

Deià occupies a ravine on Mallorca’s northwest coast between the Serra de Tramuntana mountains and the sea. Its honey-coloured stone houses, cypress trees and views across terraced hillsides have made it one of the most celebrated villages in the Balearics.

The village has attracted artists, writers and musicians for much of the last century, drawn by the landscape and by the legacy of poet and novelist Robert Graves, who made Deià his home in 1929.

A walk downhill from the village leads to Cala Deià, a small rocky cove between cliffs with seafood restaurants and exceptionally clear water.
